Orem and Heber Utah Transfer Stations – A Landfill alternative.

In Recycling, the main point is keeping recyclable materials out of trash dumps and landfills. DCD transfer stations in Orem and Heber City Utah do just that.   We all generate trash.     Making a low cost alternative to  landfills for construction and demolition companies, and other business who generate recyclable materials is what founded us.     DCD transfer continues to operate on that premise.   We operate in both Utah and Wasatch Counties.

DCD Orem Utah

DCD Orem/Dunn Recycling processes several hundred tons of material each day, saving the recyclable materials that would otherwise end up in the Utah County landfill. It also offers a low cost alternative to companies who haul construction debris and other types of waste each day.

In just 16 years, from 1979 to 1995, the number of landfills dropped by 84%, while the amount of trash generated increased by 80%. Although the American population has become increasingly aware of the need to reduce waste and to recyle, there still is so much green work to be done.   As populations increase, landfills that were once accessible are now in remote areas.   Due to the high cost of fuel and trucking costs, most businesses cannot economically haul their construction waste to the landfill.

Utah Landfills

An average american Landfill. With population increases, so do our landfills. Diverting recyclable materials and effectively managing our waste is becoming ever important. Most of the materials that this landfill is burying, we would separate and recycle. Our commitment is to Utah.

Dunn Recycling’s transfer stations were created to offer a local site where construction debris can be dumped, sorted and the recycl and transferred to an approved landfill, thus saving time and money for the commercial hauler and local business.   The upside of this is lower costs to dump trash, and affords us the opportunity to decrease landfill waste by processing the recyclable materials and re-introducing them into the community.   Shorter trucking time means less cost, lowered greenhouse emissions, and less load on overburdened landfills.

Dunn Recycling has transfer stations in Utah and Wasatch Counties, and actively processes the recyclable materials.
