“Recycling 1 ton of plastic saves 7.4 cubic yards of landfill space…”
What can you do to Recycle your Plastics?
It’s easy to recycle plastic! And it’s all over Utah homes: In the kitchen, garage and bathroom and everywhere in between. In an effort to make it easier for you to recycle, we employ what is known as “single stream” recycling for public drop offs. Single stream means you can put your clean plastics, cardboard and paper in one bag and we’ll take care of the rest. There are a few things though that need to be remembered:
Plastic can’t be recycled, if its got food waste in it. Anything that is going to make it stink if exposed to the outdoor heat too long, is going to end up in the landfill. Please rinse out milk jugs and other items that have contained from food we can recycle them.
